Making the most of our short lifespans

Sayyiduna ‘Uthman (radiyallahu ‘anhu) mentions

إن من جزاء الحسنة الحسنة بعدها، ومن جزاء السيئة السيئةُ بعدها

When somebody does something good then he is rewarded with the ability to do another good, and when someone does some evil then he is punished by being pushed further in the wrong.

Our life span in relation to the previous Ummahs is very short, 60 years is the average for this Ummah. However to make up for this, Allah Ta’ala has blessed the Ummah in many ways, by multiplying the rewards of good deeds.
